Biography

Joel Gurin is the President and Founder of The Center for Open Data Enterprise (CODE), an independent nonprofit he established in 2015. CODE works to maximize the value of open and shared data for the public good, with a focus on social justice.

An internationally recognized expert on open government data and its applications, Gurin was cited as one of the 2023 FCW Federal 100 for his work. He is the author of the book "Open Data Now.
