Biography

Joana Cotar is a German politician who has been a member of the Bundestag since the 2017 German federal election. Initially a member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD), she became a non-attached Member of Parliament in November 2022. In the Bundestag, she serves as the chairwoman of the Digital Agenda Committee and is a deputy member of both the Committee on European Union Affairs and the Committee on Home Affairs and Regional Policy.
