James Joseph Cramer, born in 1955 in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, is an American television personality, author, and former hedge fund manager. He developed an interest in stocks from a young age, starting in the fourth grade. Cramer graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts in government, where he also served as president and editor-in-chief of The Harvard Crimson.
