Jeromin Zettelmeyer is a German applied research economist and the current Director of Bruegel, a position he has held since September 2022. Born in Madrid in 1964, he is interested in European and international economic policy.

His professional background includes significant experience in international organizations and think tanks. From 2014 to 2016, Zettelmeyer served as Chief Economist of the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
