Jeremy C. Stein is the Moise Y. Safra Professor of Economics at Harvard University, where he previously chaired the economics department. He is an American economist known for his work in financial economics and monetary policy. From 2012 to 2014, Stein served as a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. He also held the position of president of the American Finance Association in 2008.
Stein earned his A.B. in economics from Princeton University in 1983, graduating summa cum laude.
