Jennifer L. Homendy is the 15th Chair of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), an independent federal agency tasked by Congress with investigating civil aviation accidents and significant events across various transportation modes, including rail, transit, roadway, marine, pipeline, and commercial space. She has served at the NTSB since 2018, first as a Board Member, and was unanimously confirmed as Chair by the U.
S. Senate in 2021 following her nomination by President Biden.
