Jeffrey Edward Epstein (1953–2019) was an American financier who served as a Managing Partner at Sound Ventures. He started his professional life as a math teacher at the Dalton School before transitioning into the banking and finance sector. Over several decades, Epstein built his fortune by offering tax and estate services to high-net-worth individuals.
Epstein was convicted in 2008 of soliciting a minor for prostitution, following an investigation that began in 2005 in Palm Beach, Florida.
