Jeffrey Sachs is an American economist and University Professor at Columbia University, where he directs the Center for Sustainable Development. He is also President of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. Sachs is recognized for his strategies addressing complex global challenges, including debt crises, hyperinflations, transitions to market economies, disease control, extreme poverty, and human-induced climate change.
