Jeffrey Laurence Bleich is an American lawyer, diplomat, tech executive, and academic. He currently serves as the General Counsel of Anthropic, an AI company. A longtime friend of President Barack Obama, Bleich joined the White House staff in March 2009 as Special Counsel to the President and was subsequently nominated to become the U.S. Ambassador to Australia, a role he held from 2009 to 2013.
Prior to his diplomatic service, Bleich had a distinguished legal career.
