Biography

Jeffrey Adgate Dean is an American computer scientist and software engineer currently serving as the Chief Scientist for Google DeepMind and Google Research, a position he has held since 2023 following the merger of DeepMind and Google Brain. He leads Google's artificial intelligence division, having been appointed head of Google AI in 2018 after previously leading Google Brain, which he formed in 2011.
