Biography

Jo Ann Barefoot is the CEO and Cofounder of the Alliance for Innovative Regulation (AIR), a nonprofit organization. AIR's mission is to digitize the financial regulatory system to promote fair finance, foster an innovative and resilient financial sector, and combat financial crimes.

Barefoot brings extensive experience from both government and academia. She previously served as Deputy Comptroller of the Currency and was a staff member of the US Senate Banking Committee.
