Jay Robert Pritzker is an American politician, lawyer, and businessman who has served as the 43rd Governor of Illinois since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, he was reelected in 2022. During his governorship, Pritzker has focused on fiscal policy, education, healthcare, incentivizing clean energy, and criminal justice reform. His administration has also overseen the legalization of recreational cannabis, an increase in the minimum wage, and expanded abortion access.
