Jay Jurden is an American comedian, writer, and actor. Raised in Jackson, Mississippi, he earned his bachelor's degree in theatre and acting from Ole Miss before pursuing an MFA in acting at the University of Alabama, where he performed a short stand-up set. Jurden later relocated to New York City to begin his comedy career, often drawing on his experiences as a Black, queer person from the American South.
