Javier Gerardo Milei is an Argentine politician and economist who has served as President of Argentina since 2023. Born in Buenos Aires, he obtained a degree in economics from the University of Belgrano and master's degrees from the Institute of Social and Economic Development and Torcuato di Tella University. Milei later became a professor of macroeconomics and rose to public prominence in the 2010s as a pundit on television, where he criticized the Argentine political establishment.
