Jason Kander is an Afghanistan Veteran, former Missouri Secretary of State, and an activist. He currently serves as the President of National Expansion at Veterans Community Project, an organization he also advises. Kander is the founder of American Rescue Project, a two-time bestselling author, and the co-host of an award-winning podcast.

After his military service in Afghanistan, Kander served as an elected official, including as Missouri Secretary of State.
