Janna Hastings is a Senior Research Scientist at the Idiap Research Institute in Martigny, Switzerland. She leads the Human-Centered Health AI research group, focusing on the interfaces between artificial intelligence and human health. Her research interests include biomedical discovery, evidence synthesis, clinical decision support, large language models, and human-computer interfaces.

Prior to her current role, Hastings was associated with the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI).
