Joel Janhonen is a PhD student and researcher at the Finnish Institute of Bioethics. He is currently pursuing his PhD at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Turku, where his primary focus since 2023 has been the national research study PeCCaPS, which examines the psychosocial impacts of genetic testing. Janhonen is actively involved with other members of The Finnish Institute of Bioethics and is interested in the future of bio-engineering and the ethical implications of technology.
