Janet Henry is the Global Chief Economist at HSBC, a role she has held since August 2015. In this position, she is responsible for HSBC's economic forecasts and reports to the head of research. She joined HSBC in 1996 as an Asian economist in Hong Kong, working through the Asian financial crisis.
Prior to her current role, Henry served as HSBC's Chief European Economist for eight years, from 2007 to 2015.
