Biography

Jane Hillston is a distinguished British computer scientist and Professor of Quantitative Modelling in the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh, a position she has held since 2006. She previously served as the Head of the School of Informatics from 2018 to 2023. Hillston is a member of the Laboratory for Foundations of Computer Science at Edinburgh.

Her research is primarily focused on stochastic process algebras.
