Biography

Jan Hatzius is the Chief Economist and Head of the Global Investment Research Division at Goldman Sachs. He is a member of the firm's Management Committee and the Client and Business Standards Committee. Prior to his current role, Hatzius was head of Global Economics and Markets Research. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1997 in the Frankfurt office, transferring to New York in 1999, and was named managing director in 2004 and partner in 2008.
