Biography

James P. Gorman is the Executive Chairman of Morgan Stanley, a role he assumed in January 2024. Prior to this, he served as CEO of Morgan Stanley from January 2010 and as Chairman from January 2012, joining the firm in February 2006 and being named Co-President in December 2007.

Before his tenure at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Gorman held a series of executive positions at Merrill Lynch. Earlier in his career, he was a senior partner at McKinsey & Co.
