James Kimmel, Jr., JD, serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine and is the founder and co-director of the Yale Collaborative for Motive Control Studies. A lawyer and author, he is recognized for his expertise in revenge and forgiveness. He was the first to identify compulsive revenge seeking as an addiction and developed the behavioral addiction model of revenge for preventing and treating violence.
