James Elder is the Spokesperson for the United Nation’s Children’s Fund (UNICEF), where he is responsible for speaking on global humanitarian crises and key issues affecting children. In 2022, his role included five missions to Ukraine and three to the Horn of Africa.
Prior to his current position, Elder served as Regional Chief of Communication for UNICEF in Eastern and Southern Africa for seven years, overseeing communication functions for 21 Country Offices.
