Biography

Jakob Engel-Schmidt is a Danish politician currently serving as the Minister for Culture in the Frederiksen II Cabinet since December 15, 2022. He is also a Member of the Folketing (Danish Parliament) representing the Moderates.

His political career includes an unsuccessful run in the 2009 Danish local elections and as a Venstre parliamentary candidate in the 2011 Danish general election. He entered the Folketing on August 15, 2013, as a substitute.
