Jack Barsky, born Albrecht Dittrich in 1949, is a German-American author and former KGB operative. He infiltrated the United States under a stolen identity in 1978, spying for the Soviet Union until 1988. Following the end of the Cold War, Barsky was exposed but became a resource for U.
S. counterintelligence agencies and was not charged with any crime, remaining in the United States.
