Jacob Joseph Lew is an American attorney and diplomat with a distinguished career in public service and the private sector. He most recently served as the 28th United States Ambassador to Israel from 2023 to 2025. Prior to this diplomatic post, Lew was the 76th United States Secretary of the Treasury from 2013 to 2017, playing a key role in economic policy during the Obama administration.
