Israel Alexander Englander is an American billionaire hedge fund manager. In 1989, he founded his hedge fund, Millennium Management, with Ronald Shear. The fund started with US$35 million and, as of January 2026, manages US$83.4 billion in assets. Forbes estimated his net worth at US$18.9 billion as of September 2025.

Englander was born in 1948 and raised in Brooklyn. He developed an interest in the stock market early, trading stocks in high school. He interned at Oppenheimer & Co.
