Irving H. Picard is an American lawyer and a partner at BakerHostetler, recognized for his extensive work as the court-appointed trustee in the Madoff investment scandal. Appointed in 2008 by U.S. District Judge Lawrence McKenna, Picard has spearheaded the recovery of funds from Bernard Madoff, his family, and other beneficiaries.
Through his efforts, Picard and his team have recovered over $13 billion, which accounts for approximately 76 percent of approved claims.
