Biography

Irene Solaiman is an American artificial intelligence and public policy researcher. She currently serves as the Chief Policy Officer at Hugging Face, a role she has held since 2025. Prior to this, she was the Head of Global Policy at Hugging Face, beginning in 2022.

Before joining Hugging Face, Solaiman was a researcher and public policy manager at OpenAI starting in 2019. During her tenure there, she contributed to the development of GPT-2 and GPT-3.
