Westley Watende Omari Moore is an American politician, businessman, author, and former U.S. Army officer, currently serving as the 63rd Governor of Maryland since 2023.
He made history by becoming Maryland's first African-American governor and the third African-American person elected governor of any U.S. state.
Prior to his political career, Moore served as CEO of the Robin Hood Foundation from 2017 to 2021 and worked as an investment banker in New York.
