Howard Schneider is a Federal Reserve reporter at Thomson Reuters, where he covers the U.S. Federal Reserve. Prior to this role, he spent twenty-five years with The Washington Post. His tenure at The Washington Post included three overseas tours, various stints as an editor, and serving as an international economics correspondent.

During his career, Schneider also held a faculty position at the American University in Cairo.
