Hooman Majd is an Iranian-born American journalist, author, and political commentator who specializes in Iranian affairs. Based in New York City, he regularly travels to Iran. Born in Tehran in 1957, Majd was raised in a family involved in diplomatic service under the Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. He lived abroad from infancy, primarily in the United States and England, attending American schools in various locations such as Tunis and New Delhi.
