Biography

Homi Kharas is a British economist and Senior Fellow in the Center for Sustainable Development at The Brookings Institution. He is also the co-founder of World Data Lab. With over four decades of experience, Kharas is recognized as a pioneer in the study of the global middle class.

Kharas has contributed to the shaping of the U.N.-brokered global agreement in 2015 to pursue Sustainable Development Goals.
