Biography

Michael Hengartner serves as the President of the ETH Board and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the ETH Domain, a position he has held since February 2020. Prior to this, he was the President of the University of Zurich (UZH) from 2014 to 2020 and President of swissuniversities, the Swiss Rectors' Conference, from 2016 to 2020. His leadership roles have also included serving as Dean of the Faculty of Science at UZH from 2009 to 2014.
