Heather Exner-Pirot serves as the Director of the Energy, Natural Resources and Environment program at the Macdonald-Laurier Institute.

Her current research encompasses several key areas, including Indigenous and northern economic development. She also focuses on the politics of resource development, energy security, and Arctic policy.
