Biography

Gikas Hardouvelis is a prominent Greek economist currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the National Bank of Greece and Chairman of the Hellenic Bank Association. He is also an Emeritus Professor of Finance and Economics at the University of Piraeus.

From June 2014 to January 2015, Hardouvelis served as the Minister of Finance for the Hellenic Republic.
