Hardeep Singh Puri is an Indian politician and retired diplomat. He currently serves as the Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, a position he has held since 2021. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he became a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh in November 2020. Puri was inducted into the Council of Ministers in September 2017.
Prior to his political career, Puri had a distinguished diplomatic career as a 1974-batch Indian Foreign Service officer.
