Hannes Schmid is a Swiss photography artist and the CEO of Hannes Schmid Gmbh, a role he has held since 2015. Born in Zurich in 1946, Schmid has cultivated an impressive photo archive since the early seventies, beginning his career with travel reports. He is also recognized as a philanthropist.
Throughout his career, Schmid worked extensively as an advertising and fashion photographer. In the 1990s, he developed his distinct image of the cowboy, which achieved global recognition.
