Biography

Hadja Lahbib is a Belgian politician, currently serving as the European Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management and Commissioner for Equality since December 1, 2024. Prior to this, she held the position of Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs from July 2022 to November 30, 2024. She was nominated for the foreign minister post by the liberal Reformist Movement (MR) and later joined the party, declaring herself "fundamentally free" and fully liberal.
