Gloria Mark is a Chancellor's Professor in the Department of Informatics at the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, where she has been teaching and conducting research since 2000. She holds a PhD in Psychology from Columbia University, earned in 1991, and specializes in human-computer interaction (HCI), a field that explores how people use and interact with information technologies.
