Gil Weinberg is an Israeli-born American musician and inventor, currently serving as a professor of musical technology at Georgia Tech and founding director of the Georgia Tech Center for Music Technology. Born in Jerusalem in 1967, he began piano studies at age seven. His early experiences with rigid musical instruction influenced his later work, leading him to advocate for creative and expressive music education over strict technique.
