Biography

Gilberto “Gilbert” Cojuangco Teodoro, Jr. serves as the Secretary of National Defense at the Office of the President. He assumed this role in August 2007 at the age of 43, becoming the youngest individual to hold the Defense portfolio. As head of the Department of National Defense, Secretary Teodoro is focused on advancing Philippine defense reforms to ensure the defense and military establishment effectively serves the needs of the Filipino people.
