George Boole was a self-taught mathematician, philosopher, and logician. Despite coming from a humble family and being taken out of school due to financial constraints, he pursued knowledge independently. He learned languages, mathematics, and calculus by studying books, including those provided by Edward Bromhead and Sylvestre François Lacroix.
Boole's work led to several foundational contributions in mathematics.
