Gene Ma is the Head of China Research and Chief Representative for Asia/Pacific at the Institute Of International Finance. In this capacity, he focuses on research related to China and represents the organization across the Asia/Pacific region.

Prior to his current roles, Ma served as the Director of China Strategy at The Tudor Group, where he contributed to strategic initiatives concerning China. He also held the position of Managing Director at Isi Group.
