Gary Bruce Ruvkun, born March 26, 1952, is an American molecular biologist and Professor of Genetics at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston. He was awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his groundbreaking discovery of microRNA and its role in post-transcriptional gene regulation.
Ruvkun's research significantly advanced the understanding of RNA regulation.
