Biography

Gaia Marcus FRSA is the Director at the Ada Lovelace Institute, a position she has held since 2024. In this role, she focuses on translating ambitious vision into sustainable delivery, employing user-centred, data-driven, and digitally-enabled approaches.

Prior to her current role, Marcus served in various leadership capacities within the UK government. She was Deputy Director of the Spatial Data Unit at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities from January 2023 to June 2024.
