Fuad Hussein is an Iraqi politician and a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. He currently serves as the Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs. Prior to this role, he was the Minister of Finance in the Government of Adil Abdul-Mahdi. Born in Khanaqin, Diyala Province, Iraq, in 1946, he is Feyli Kurdish and Shia Muslim.
Hussein moved to Baghdad in 1967 and graduated from Baghdad University in 1971 with a degree in English literature.
