Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) was the 32nd President of the United States, serving from 1933 until his death in 1945. He holds the distinction of being the longest-serving U.S.
president, the only one to have served more than two terms. His presidency was largely defined by his leadership during two of America's most challenging periods: the Great Depression and World War II.
