Frank Hutter is a German computer scientist and a leading figure in machine learning, particularly known for his work in automated machine learning (AutoML), hyperparameter optimization, meta-learning, and tabular machine learning. He serves as a Full Professor (W3) for Machine Learning at the Department of Computer Science, University of Freiburg, and is a Hector-Endowed Fellow and PI at the ELLIS Institute Tübingen.
