Biography

Frank Alan Cowell is a Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), a position he has held since 1977. His academic work is recognized for its important contributions to the fields of income and wealth distribution, inequality, poverty, and taxation. Cowell completed his BA (1971), MA (1975), and PhD (1977) in economics at Trinity College, Cambridge, following his education at Ardingly College.
